How Overwhelm Set Me Back a Decade (A precautionary tale)

Over 10 years ago, I learned about podcasting, and I was intrigued by it. So, when Podcasting Secrets came out around that time. I signed up. I don’t remember what it cost at the time, but there definitely was one.

I showed up, I took copious notes, and then I did NOTHING.

Fast forward about 10 years, and in 2018, I started my podcast.

So, what the hell happened?

I knew podcasting was something I wanted to do, and I knew that it would be big. So, why didn’t I do it all those years?

Because I got overwhelmed, and I didn’t know what to do.

Now, what I should have done was reached out to Paul Colligan, the instructor, and found out how I could get some individual coaching with the course, but it just didn’t occur to me at the time to ASK!

When I think about that now, it boggles my mind. I would never do that today.

And believe me, I’ve kicked myself for waiting so damn long to make it happen and all the years I lost that I could have been growing my podcast. Just think where it would be today!

But, you know what. It does no good to think like that. And the truth is, I’m excited that I finally got it up and running because the interviews I’ve done with AMAZING guests has been totally awesome!

Let me share an old Chinese proverb with you that has helped me. “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now.”
