How to Make a 6-Figure Income as a Non-Fiction Author
When I was coming up I was told that you can’t make a lot of money just from writing books, you make the big money teaching what is in the book.
And while some things have stayed the same, other things have changed quite a bit in the self-publishing world. Remember, Kindle didn’t even exist when I started.
But, since Kindle made its debut, the game has changed and there are authors who are making 6 figures from Amazon/Kindle. However, they have written a lot of books. According to Mark Guberti, the teen, wunderkind entrepreneur, the average number of books these authors have published on Amazon, is 28.
But don’t freak out at that number, okay?
You have to know what the numbers are first of all before you can decide if that’s a goal you’d like to pursue. And you have to know what that means. So here it is: you can make a 6-figure income from books, but you’re not going to build a 7-figure business from it unless you become a superstar author, which is rare. It doesn’t mean you can’t do it if that’s what you want, you just have to know what you want and then figure out a plan to get it.
