When the Best Laid Plans go Awry

In January, I signed up for Russell Brunson’s One Funnel Away Challenge and I was really excited about it. I did it for two reasons: 1. I wanted to automate some of my process to sell more of my home study programs and 2. I wanted to take my business to the next level and that meant learning at a deeper level.

I committed to getting on line every day, watching the videos, and implementing what I learned. But, then my tooth fell out and the toxicity was worrisome so and I had to have dental surgery right away. .Now I may not complete the challenge in the challenge, but I am still committed to the process and creating the funnel as Russell has instructed.

So why am I telling you this?

Because I see some marketers who talk about pushing through no matter what, staying up all night if that’s what it takes. But, in my experience that can be a recipe for burn out and/or disease.

Sometimes, no matter how committed you are to something, it doesn’t work out exactly the way you had planned. Now, anyone who knows me, knows that I am normally a doer, but when something like this happens that knocks you on your butt, you just have to be patient with yourself and not beat yourself up.

Is it easy?

No. I’m frustrated. I am an achiever, I want to get it done! But, sometimes you have to be flexible and you have to adjust your plan. It’s okay to slow down and take care of yourself. It’s okay to go slower than you’d like as long as you’re still going in the right direction. So, tune in, listen to your heart and your body, and work accordingly.
